First solo exhibition held at the Orange Regional Gallery, Orange, NSW, Australia.

Artist's Statement:

This is an exhibition exploring nature and the passage of time:these things have constantly inspired me. On moving to Australia, I found these passions reignited; the urgency inside me to create newly rediscovered. On paper, on fabric, in print, in stitch, the slow pace of hand embroidery literally allowing me time to meditate upon these subjects. A personal journey, one that reflects many made before; a juxtaposition that is reflected again and again, throughout the passage of time. A natural obsession, finding its way out through the rhythmic ritual of needle and thread passing through fabric.

'Drawing Threads' is the culmination of a year long residency at Kinross Wolaroi School. Made almost entirely from reclaimed fabrics, found in local op shops, the pieces in the exhibition aim to reflect the time and place where they were created.
